Vinyl Edge Trim Molding (50 ft)
50 feet of vinyl edge trim molding for our diamond plate wainscoting. Vinyl edge trim molding installation is a breeze, just push it onto the unfinished edge and voila! The adhesive bead inside the molding will keep it in place. This vinyl trim molding fits on our .024, .045 and .063 diamond plate sizes (cosmetic, light duty and standard duty). It is not appropriate for thicker materials. This vinyl edge trim molding is manufactured in the USA and appropriate for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The vinyl edge trim molding must be installed on the sheet before mounting them onto your surface. Peel back the protective vinyl coating approximately 1 inch on the sheets along the edge you plan to cover. Cut the appropriate length of trim using any heavy duty scissors or shears. Starting on the corner, push the trim onto the edge of the metal moving down the length of the sheet. The vinyl edge trim will NOT slide into position due to the glue bead inside of the channel. This is the keep the trim in place. If the vinyl is too stiff or difficult to snap in place, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the trim slightly to make it more malleable. DO NOT over heat! Doing so will cause the mylar to wrinkle.

We are using the Diamond Plate in my Grandson's Bedroom and were wondering what to put over the edges so he wouldn't get hurt. We ordered your chrome edging product and love it. Although it looks rather nice on the metal, I found it very difficult to slide onto the sheeting. As you push and slide it on the small opening closes up because a person is push and pinching at the same time. Had to pry it open more with a flat head screwdriver. The instructions were not very clear. I would rate this product as just avg. I am so sorry that you had problems with the product. I wish you would have called so that we could have helped. We do have instructions on the trim in the installation video on the website. The material is not meant to slide through the channel as the glue bead stops this from happening. It is meant to clip on. I will add another instruction video to the website. Thank you for your feedback.
