12x12 Diamond Plate Ceiling Tile Installation: Cosmetic duty .025 aluminum diamond plate installation is easy using caulking adhesives such as Loctite (PL Premium or PL Premium Advanced) or Liquid Nails (Paneling). These and other types of adhesives should be available at your local hardware store, and applied correctly will allow you to easily bond your polished aluminum diamond plate to a wide variety of common building materials such as drywall, metal, concrete, wood, brick, or fiberglass. If you are installing larger pieces of diamond plate and need more rigid support we suggest using mechanical fasteners in addition to an adhesive. Self-tapping screws work well for many diamond plate projects and should be selected and sized to accommodate your specific design. If you are designing a smaller diamond plate project, and need to bond diamond plate directly to diamond plate specialty adhesives like gorilla glue may be your best option.
